Scribblenauts Creatures List, Strategy Guide NDSMonsters, Myths, Animals, Aliens in Scribblenauts Nintendo DS / DSi
Scribblenauts offers open-ended gameplay with around 20,000 total words. Read this strategy guide for word lists for creatures and characters available in Scribblenauts.
Scribblenauts offers truly unique, open-ended, "emergent gameplay" for the Nintendo DS Lite / DSi handheld gaming systems by developer 5th Cell. The main character Maxwell must solve puzzles by summoning objects, creatures, and people using the DS Stylus and writing the objects to make them spring to life. Write "Vampire" and a Vampire appears, write "Holy Water" and Maxwell can throw Holy Water at the Vampire to kill him. In Scribblenauts, the objective and true fun-factor isn't about solving puzzles and winning the game, it's about doing so in as imaginative way as possible. Sure, a handful of useful objects can be used time and time again to solve many of the game's puzzles, but why not try some of the more imaginative objects below? Read on for lists of unique creatures and animals, both peaceful and violent, for Scribblenauts on Nintendo DS / DSi. Mythological Monsters and Gods List
All of the above offer power and sometimes immense size. Naturally, God works wonders at disposing evil creatures in Maxwell's path, but oddly enough, is befallen by a Vampire, which appears to be the strongest creature in the game. Aside from obvious weaknesses (wooden stake, holy water), Vampires kill just about every other creature in the game, even Death himself! Unfortunately though, Vampires turn human enemies into ghouls, sometimes making it more of a pain than its worth. Zombies, too, turn humans into other zombies, adding even more enemies to take out. Medusa deserves special mention for her ability to turn enemies into stone. Using a mirror against her will take her out easily, however. Also, the Giant Enemy Crab, while actually a video game reference and not a mythological creature, offers big size, big power, and quick agility, making it a strong foe. Sea and Ocean Creatures List
These sea / ocean creatures take on most other sea creatures in the game. Kraken and Cthulu offer the most power, but when their size is too big to fit, Crocodiles, Alligators, and Sharks make short work of most other sea creatures and they can fit in smaller passageways. The Electric Eel, while perhaps not as powerful, gets humor points for shocking its victims to death. Human Characters List
Ninja aren't as powerful as one might think - one Samurai can take out three by himself. But a Samurai meets his match against a masked Hero, but not even the Hero can take out a Witch, who turns enemies into frogs and then eats them! A Wizard makes for one of the most reliable and powerful sidekicks in Scribblenauts, and even automatically protects Maxwell. Aside from simple fighters and warriors, many human characters offer unique skillsets for a variety of situations. Need to disarm a mine or bomb? Summon a Bomb Disposal Unit. Snake in the path? Whip up a Snake Charmer. These two offer a small taste of the many useful human characters available in Scribblenauts. For more word lists of people, jobs, and human characters, be sure to check Scribblenauts People List and Strategy Guide. Dinosaurs List
Far more Dinosaurs are available than just the TRex and Velociraptor, but those two offer the most power. The TRex takes more hits and deals out more damage, but the Velociraptor fits in smaller areas and chases down enemies with rapid speed. Creatures to Ride List
The Pterodactyl and Pegasus offer the best means of air travel in Scribblenauts. Sure a Stealth Bomber may pack more punch, but rarely fits in smaller areas. And, unlike the Jetpack or Wings, the Pegasus and Pterodactyl won't run out of juice. However, if either are hit they won't let Maxwell ride on them anymore. A Dolphin makes for a good swimming partner, and a Horse works as a quick land animal with the ability to jump. And, while there may not be a point in riding a Gorilla, is such a prospect even possible to resist? Urban Legends and Pop Culture Icons List
In most cases, the Urban Legends and Pop Culture Icons serve more as a means to brag to friends and say "Look what Scribblenauts can do!" than to actually solve puzzles. Jenny Greenteeth is a fairly powerful monster, however, and most of these work well at frightening enemies. Farm Animals List
Farm animals work well as bait (make sure to pick it up before it gets eaten!), but also the puzzle level in The Gardens 1-4 must be solved by summoning three different farm animals. There's nine in the list - just enough to solve the puzzle three times in a row. Scribblenauts Creatures List ConclusionConsidering Scribblenauts' vast vocabulary, these creatures, animals, and characters lists are merely meant to get the creative juices flowing.
